Suspect Arrested after Collision Kills One

Pensacola, FL - A Pensacola woman has been arrested and charged with DUI manslaughter following a fatal car crash that occurred on Friday night.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), the crash took place at approximately 10:30 p.m. on Interstate 10 near the Pensacola Bay Bridge.

The suspect, 25-year-old Sarah Jones, was allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol when her vehicle collided head-on with another car traveling in the opposite direction.

The driver of the other vehicle, 32-year-old Christopher Smith, was pronounced dead at the scene. Jones was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
